Bring Her Home! -NEW UPDATE!

Updated: Mar 21

Yvonne Gameti is ready to return from the Philippines to Togo and begin her ministry!

We are delighted to share that Yvonne made it home to Togo. We also received news from her on Feb 15, 2021:

Dear TEAM Board:

I was also delighted to receive your email. Indeed, God's favors and mercies were upon me and I am eternally grateful to Him and TEAM through you. My parents are also elated and grateful. They send their greetings to you, the entire board, and the donors.

Dr. Ginger was the "Esther" in my life and the final stages of my stay in AIIAS were an enormous blessing thanks to her kindness, care, and thoughtfulness.

By God's grace, I will be getting married next Sunday, February 21st. After that, we will settle for a while in Liberia. Dr. Ginger* has gotten me a scholarship with the Andrews Seminary, so we will raise the necessary funds so that if possible, by August of this year, I can begin my doctorate program there. The degree will make my integration into ministry from this side of the world a bit easier. Those are the plans that we have for now.

Blessings,

Yvonne

From September 2020:

Pastor Gameti is the first Adventist woman from Togo to pursue a Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) to prepare her for pastoral ministry in the West Central Africa Division. With financial support from TEAM as well as from the ministerial director of the West Africa Division and the president of Valley View University (Ghana), she graduated in May 2020 from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in the Philippines. She has not been able to leave the Philippines following her graduation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and she's also waiting for her passport and enough funds to travel home.

The "Bring Her Home" funding campaign requests your support to bring Pastor Gameti home to Togo. A total of $3,100 is needed for airfare, the COVID test (prior to boarding the plane), visa departure fees, and for housing through December. Yvonne is thankful to TEAM for her scholarship and continued support until she gets home.

Support TEAM as we work together to bring Pastor Yvonne Gameti home to Togo! Donations are preferred by check. Write on the memo line - "Bring Her Home" campaign.
