TEAM mourns the death of a true mother in Israel. She was struck by a car. The driver ran a red light, as she was crossing the street with her husband. She was the only one hurt. She was celebrating her husband’s birthday at a nearby resort. Shortly after arrival, they were walking downtown when the accident happened. She never awoke from the blow.

Daisy Oconnor was a great mentor of the women studying Theology in the Cuban Seminary (SETAC). She was there

for them, for their families, and for whatever they needed.

She celebrated every birthday, anniversary and graduation with gifts and ways to bring them joy. She was a listening ear for each of them, not only listening, but finding donations for computers, clothes, school supplies, toys for their children, and whatever need they had. She wrote to their friends and families, found medicines, and helped them with travel expenses. Above all, her greatest gift was her powerful prayers with each of them.

She will be greatly missed for the joy and encouragement that she gave with such devotion. She is survived by her husband, Pastor Luis Oconnor, Administrator of the Cuban Adventist Seminary, her son Roger Oconnor, a pastor in Singapore, and all the staff andstudents at SETAC.
