SIMONIQUE DIETZ: MY STORY
Updated: Sep 14

My name is Simonique Dietz, and I am a communications strategist, educator, health advocate, and entrepreneur with a passion for using storytelling, education, and media to create positive social change. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Liberty University and have been accepted into Liberty University’s Ph.D. program in Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Leadership. Throughout my career, I have worked in higher education, communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, photography, videography, web development, and digital media. Most recently, I served as Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications at Washington Adventist University, where I led branding, media relations, content strategy, photography, video production, website management, and digital communications initiatives. I also serve as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in photography, graphic design, videography, and media-related disciplines.
As Communications Director for TEAM, I support the organization’s mission by helping tell
stories that matter. My responsibilities include developing communication strategies, creating content for the website and newsletters, sharing stories of impact, supporting public outreach efforts, and helping expand awareness of issues affecting women and families. I see communication as more than simply sharing information, it is about building understanding, fostering connection, and inspiring action. In addition to my work with TEAM, I am the founder of St. Patrick James Inc. and SPJ Global Group. Through these organizations, I focus on health education, lifestyle transformation, digital innovation, and community outreach. My work includes health seminars, cooking demonstrations, wellness workshops, and educational programming designed to help individuals improve their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
My interest in helping women advocate for equality is deeply personal. As an immigrant, a
woman, a mother, and someone who has overcome significant life challenges, I have
experienced firsthand the importance of opportunity, support, and having a voice. Throughout my life, I have witnessed how inequities can affect women, families, and communities. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to helping others find their voice, pursue their goals, and reach their full potential. Equality is rooted in recognizing the God-given worth and dignity of every individual.
Organizations like TEAM often face resistance when addressing difficult issues. My strategic
approach is to focus on education, relationship-building, and thoughtful communication. People are more likely to listen when they feel respected and understood. By sharing authentic stories, presenting credible information, building partnerships, and finding common ground, we can can create meaningful dialogue and lasting change. Progress happens when we invite people into the conversation rather than pushing them away from it. Outside of my professional work and involvement with TEAM, I enjoy cooking, photography, health and wellness education, writing, mentoring young people, and networking with community leaders. I am also passionate about learning and personal growth. Much of my free time is spent studying topics related to health, leadership, communication, faith, and human behavior. I especially enjoy creating programs and resources that help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to serve others. Whether through communications, education, health advocacy, or community engagement, my goal is to use my gifts to uplift individuals, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for people to thrive.
